Notarius Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Notarius is a meeting transcription app made by Ontryx Solutions L.L.C ("we"). This policy explains what the app collects, where it goes, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Email address. Used to sign you in with a one-time code and to identify your account.
- Audio you import. Uploaded only to produce a transcript, then deleted from our servers (see below). Your recordings are otherwise kept on your phone.
- Transcripts, summaries, contacts and folders you create. Stored in your account so they follow you between devices and survive a reinstall.
- Contact photos you add. Stored in your account for the same reason.
- Usage. Minutes of audio transcribed and number of summaries generated, to apply your plan's allowance.
- Purchase history. If you subscribe, the status of your subscription. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
We do not use advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, or tracking across apps.
Where it goes
- Supabase (hosted in the European Union) stores your account, transcripts and usage, and runs our servers.
- AssemblyAI (EU endpoint) turns your audio into text. Audio is sent to them through a short-lived link and removed from our storage as soon as the transcript is ready. AssemblyAI does not retain the audio beyond processing under our agreement with them.
- Anthropic receives the text of a transcript when you ask for a summary, and returns the summary.
- Resend delivers sign-in code emails.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status together with Apple.
- Cloudflare runs the server that connected AI apps talk to (see below) and builds a text search index of your transcripts for it. No audio is involved.
AI apps you connect
With Notarius Pro you can connect AI apps such as Claude or ChatGPT to your account (Settings › AI apps). You do this yourself, by signing in with your email code and pressing Allow. A connected app can then, on your instructions, read your meetings, transcripts, summaries, notes, contacts and folders, change them, delete them, or have Notarius generate a summary using your allowance. It never receives your audio files. What an app does with what it reads is covered by that app's own privacy policy, not this one. We keep the name of each connected app and when it last used your account so you can see it in Settings, where you can disconnect it at any time.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your account, transcripts, contacts, usage records and stored photos from our servers, and everything on the phone you did it from. Cancel any subscription through Apple first; deleting your account does not cancel it.
- Export your transcripts as Markdown, text or PDF from the app.
